This unit has the same basic functions as the original unit, but with following added features:

1. A Thermally Controlled Cooling Fan for maximum continuous use. Now up to 40Amps of power can be achieved, without the worries of overheating. The Fan only runs when the unit heats up.

2. External adjustments. You can adjust the voltage output and the RF delay from the front panel.

3. The new RF Delay circuit. The delay circuit allows for a delay to be added in between RF enabling for smooth Transmittions.

4. The New Remote Terminal Strip. This allows for remote control and monitoring with a pin type termal strip. You can externally Enable, Monitor Input voltage, Monitor Output voltage, add extra low battery and enable LED's, plus has a 12volt source voltage for powering an external circuit. Check out our Remote/ Meter Panel, which connects to the terminal strip.

A large amount electronic equipment on the market today does not tolerate low voltage conditions. This Boost Regulator was designed to supply a constant voltage to the equipment regardless of a low battery or input voltage. It's simply AMAZING!!!

The N8XJK Super Booster is a switching power supply that regulates the output and boosts the voltage to your equipment. The increased voltage prevents distortion commonly seen on modern mobile radios. It also maintains transmit power and allows longer operation from a battery.

The N8XJK Super Booster was designed so the boosted voltage is added to the battery voltage. This means only the difference between the input and output voltage is converted by the internal Switch Mode Power Supply. With this configuration, the losses only apply to the Boosted Voltage. This means that real world efficiency is above 90%!

The unique design of the Super Booster allows battery voltage to be present at the output of the supply even when the supply is disabled or is in stand by mode. No transfer relays are required. This Booster Regulator does not boost voltage when battery voltage is above the regulator set point. If there is enough input voltage, it doesn't do anything! But as soon as you need it, the voltage is there!

Your New N8XJK Super Booster will allow you to maintain any output voltage greater than battery or input voltage, up to 15 volts. The Boost function can be enabled manually via a front panel switch, or automatically via the RF detect input attached to the antenna lead of the transmitter. RF Enable allows the Booster to supply boosted voltage only when transmitting.

In bypass, the battery voltage is passed to the attached radio with no regulation. In this mode, the filter stage of the supply is still in circuit and will act to filter RFI from the battery voltage to the radio. This can help to reduce noise induced into the power circuit from other attached electronic devices such as Chargers, Alternators, Ignition systems. If RFI is a concern, this unit is for you!!

We can custom build this unit the way you need it. The N8XJK Super Booster comes with up to 6' lengths of cable and optional Anderson Powerpole connectors are available. We also can add a remote switch using the new terminal strip inside.

Testimonial: Thanx for the reply. I may move the low voltage cutoff up to 10 volts. Got the unit hooked up this afternoon. My minimum load voltage is 14.48, and full key down at 100 watts output is 13.5. I use a Kenwood TS140 off my deep cycle battery on the trailer for field day. Never got more than 80 watts out. Now I get the full 100 watts out. THERE IS NO DETECTABLE RFI!!! I'm kind'a sensitive to that, because I'm a retired EMC engineer. I wish some of the boxes we put on the Mars Reconisance Orbiter were that quiet. Congratulations on one of the best new products to hit the Ham Radio market in a long time. All the Best, Clyde
