This unit has the same basic functions as the original unit, but with following added features:

1. A Thermally Controlled Cooling Fan for maximum continuous use. Now up to 40Amps of power can be achieved, without the worries of overheating. The Fan only runs when the unit heats up.

2. External adjustments. You can adjust the voltage output and the RF delay from the front panel.

3. The new RF Delay circuit. The delay circuit allows for a delay to be added in between RF enabling for smooth transmissions.

4. The New Remote Terminal Strip. This allows for remote control and monitoring with a pin type termal strip. You can externally Enable, Monitor Input voltage, Monitor Output voltage, add extra low battery and enable LED's, plus has a 12volt source voltage for powering an external circuit. Check out our Remote/ Meter Panel, which connects to the terminal strip

5.  The Low Voltage Piezo Alarm is available for this unit.  Just click the Alarm option when placing in shopping cart.

Testimonial:
Thanx for the reply. I may move the low voltage cutoff up to 10 volts. Got the unit hooked up this afternoon. My minimum load voltage is 14.48, and full key down at 100 watts output is 13.5. I use a Kenwood TS140 off my deep cycle battery on the trailer for field day. Never got more than 80 watts out. Now I get the full 100 watts out. THERE IS NO DETECTABLE RFI!!! I'm kind'a sensitive to that, because I'm a retired EMC engineer. I wish some of the boxes we put on the Mars Reconisance Orbiter were that quiet. Congratulations on one of the best new products to hit the Ham Radio market in a long time. All the Best, Clyde

  1. It works but it has RFI problems 3 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Jul 2017

I use the booster since I am often operating mobile with a battery. The battery and the booster are in the trunk of my car at about 2 meters distance from the radio. The antenna is an inverted V dipole mounted on a mast close to the car. I have noticed a strong interference on the high bands, such as 20m. It is a strong hum which drifts slowly in frequency and can be found at specific frequency intervals of some tens of KHz. Once I was in a QSO when the interference arrived and I have lost the contact. I switched the booster off and it was away. One solution to this problem can be to use the RF input to activate the booster only when transmitting. I found another way. I used two FT-240-43 ferrite rings and I made two common mode chokes at the input and at the output of the booster by coiling the 2 feet input and output cables on the ferrite rings. I made six windings on each ring and I fastened the cables on the rings with plastic strap fsteners. The result is that the interference is not present any longer now. We all know that switching power converters can easily radiate, so I am surprised that an equipment meant to be used with radio receivers has such problems. The solution I found should be embedded in the unit. If the enclosure is too small, please install the chokes before selling the product or at least sell it with the ferrite rings and tell the customers in advance about this problem before they find out themselves.

  2. Worked flawlessly during FD2017 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Jun 2017

I've been using my MFJ-4416B, for years; however I wanted a little more headroom for all of my equipment. The TGE Super Booster, with a pair of toroids on both the input and output, powered my complete Flex6700, Maestro, MacBook Pro, Ethernet switch and the lighting flawlessly.

    Great product!

  3. No voltage drop! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Apr 2017

Got this because my IC-7200 couldn't transmit at the full 100w. With the super booster, I get the full 100w. My 2 7.5ah SLA batteries from Walmart drop to 11.7v before booster and stay at 14.2 after the booster. No drop after the booster when transmitting. Recommend this for any shack, radio box, or battery box. Thinking of getting solar power later on and may buy another to keep electronics at a stable voltage independent of the batteries.

  4. Holds Voltage During Restarts 4 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Mar 2017

I usually operate when my car is running. My need for the Super Booster was more superficial in that I wanted voltage to be held steady during engine restarts. It works great; no more "brown-outs" for the radio during restarts! :)

The only thing I wish was different is a configurable mounting plate. I would have liked to bolt the Super Booster straight to my panel. Instead, I made some risers to use the existing mounting points. Photos at https://stealthgti.com/my-gti/communications/.

  5. High quality product 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Feb 2017

I had a chance to play with it yesterday... OMG... awesome output of 13.8, with battery voltage at 12.4.

  6. Battery Booster 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Jan 2017

Plugged my new booster up and 13.2 volts going in 14.2 coming out. My Yaesu 857D radio loves the power. My compliments to the resigner and builder of this unit excellent workmanship.

  7. Worked well with low batteries 4 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Oct 2016

Used it in cold weather and 11.3 volt batteries and it worked well.

  8. Works as Advertised 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Jun 2016

I bought my second one of these this year. Both work perfectly just as advertised. It's a very well built product. No detectable RFI from it. My mobile rig would reboot when TX on high power due to the voltage drop below specs. This doesn't happen anymore. I now get full TX power out of my HF rig on my deep cycle AGM battery after installing the booster which is able to keep power above 13V when TX full power.

  9. Solved the problem 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Sep 2015

Sept 12th I took my size 24 deep cycle battery, tranceiver, and my recently purchased N8XJK super booster to the field in the Ohio State Parks On The Air contest. It rained all day but the super booster functioned as advertised. With the output set to 13.8 vdc unloaded, I was able to maintain 13.6 vdc to, and 100 watts from the tranceiver even as the battery was depleted to 11.8 vdc. If your radio suffers from reduced power at reduced voltage, this is the device for you.

  10. Amazing Piece of electronics. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Aug 2015

I have been looking at purchasing one of these for about 2 years as i use my radio (ic706 mk2) in a portable locations on a regular basis,it has lived up to all my expectations and delivers everything that the product description states, i am about to go on a 6000 klm out back adventure wher i will test the product to the full.
